Spiritual Counterintelligence Pt. 4: Be Offensive

The First Commandment of Counterintelligence, with a spiritual lens

James M. Olsen served in the Central Intelligence Agency’s Directorate of Operations, mostly overseas in clandestine operations. He was also Chief of Counterintelligence at CIA headquarters in Langley, VA. Currently, he is a professor at Bush School, teaching courses on intelligence and counterintelligence.

In 2002, he wrote a set of guiding principles for protecting national security information called the “Ten Commandments of Counterintelligence”. Over the next few months, we will be using these principles, tying it into the world of spirituality and guarding your priceless and limitless imagination. The first commandment is:

⚔️ Be Offensive

CI that is passive and defensive will fail. We cannot hunker down in a defensive mode and wait for things to happen. I believe we are spending far too much money on fences, safes, alarms, and other purely defensive measures to protect our secrets. That is not how we have been hurt in recent years. Spies have hurt us. Our CI mindset should be relentlessly offensive. We need to go after our CI adversaries

Now we hear all the time that the best offense is a good defense. Well, when we speak about your imagination, being passive is not an option. Waiting for an attack, crouching in the corner, hinders your operation.

There are countless agents of ignorance that seek to keep you unaware of your power. Unaware of your spiritual birthright. Unaware of your natural freedom. Unaware of who and what you are beyond this physical realm. Simply unaware.

Ever since you were a child, your subconscious mind has been taking in countless images, repetitious sayings, beliefs, perceptions, and ways of doing, thinking, and being that were programmed into you through trauma. Voids left within led you to ignorantly attach to people, places, and things that have absolutely nothing to do with you or your purpose. These are the agents of ignorance that still occupy your mind. Yeah, you may have had moments of awareness. Until you make it your duty to be on offense at all times, you will allow the enemy, yourself, to have initiative.

In chess, initiative is the ability to create threats that make your opponent react, often preventing them from executing their own plans. It breaks their rhythm, their formation, and even their morale. It's about taking control of the game, making moves that force your opponent to respond defensively, and maintaining that pressure. When you put those negative thought forms, negative belief patterns, and negative habits on the defensive, you starve them of their power: your ignorance.

You can see this in society today. The media and the government, and the priesthood of organized religions feed on the ignorance of the public. As long as one does not venture outside of the prescribed text or dogma, they are on the defensive.

Once you think for yourself, you are taking back the land that was stolen while you were ignorant. You place edicts, carried by your guards, loyal thoughts that serve your higher purpose. These put a hit out on all traitors within your kingdom, those spreading mutiny and anarchy against your soul mission. Anything that aims to keep you unaware of who and what you are at your fullest capacity is the enemy. To be on offense is not to be trigger happy. It is preventive maintenance of your spirit, protective campaigns for your soul.

Spirituality is not about protecting yourself and never “sending” out energy. When you protect yourself with herbs, spells, spiritual practices like meditation and visualization, aligning with the elements through candle magic, water or tree scrying, creating wards, that is the action. In doing so, you play defense. Offense is defense. Protection comes from the work. Protection comes from the alignment, which is the actual fight.

The key to CI success is penetration.

Penetration is what prevents any outsiders from thinking it is okay to invade your imagination. Through aggressive acts of self-care, no longer is the enemy allowed. You awaken energies from within, dormant soldiers, or simply those who lost morale once your image-nation was overtaken in ignorance. Remember, there is a concerted effort to keep you unaware of your spiritual origin, power, and birthright. All enemies foreign and domestic play the war of attrition. The media, government, religion, social media, music are all streams through which ignorance is magnified and glorified by those who need your attention, your participation, your inherent power.

Attrition warfare is a form of military strategy in which one side attempts to gradually wear down its opponent to the point of collapse by inflicting continuous losses in personnel, materiel, and morale.^[1] The term attrition is derived from the Latin word atterere, meaning "to wear down" or "to rub against", reflecting the grinding nature of the strategy.

Your image-nation has no limits, no boundaries, and no rules. It's very nature renders it vast in expanse, paramount in its prowess. It is the source from which you create your reality. However, if you are not the one using it, it is being used. Ignorant use of your imagination allows your reality to be infused with addictions, repetitive negative cycles, stress, and anxiety, and outright toxicity.

Your imagination is a land of ignorance if not fought for and with. To create ideas, concepts, and images is to create your reality. Use your imagination to uproot any traitors within that do not serve you. Make an example out of them in the capitol. Visualize this for as long as you need to. Remember, the “powers that be” use no morals when they feed you propaganda and filth that plagues you on a daily basis. Therefore, no morals, rules, or restrictions should be placed on how you use your imagination to fortify your righteous and wonderful mind.
