When you understand your intuition, you’ll understand that the serpent, a symbol of intuition, was telling Eve how to escape the “perfection” illusion of Eden.
Perfection is death, where there is no need for change.
If every lion had every wildebeest or every antelope it could ever want, it would not be a symbol of courage.
If all needs are met, without need for movement, what is there? Nothing. And everything at the same time.
This is the science behind the “beginning” of the Universe. All that there ever was, is, and will be already exists.
The illusion of connection, from one into the many, is why everything “exists”. Everything in existence is always trying to find its way back home, which is oneness. A man connecting with a woman, the masculine and feminine principle in harmony is creation. 1+1 equaling 3.
The Creator’s (GOD, the All, Source, etc.) intent to know ITself caused it to separate from itself. From evolution comes involution. Involving yourself in your creation.
This is why, spoken of in Gnosticism, the god of the Old Testament told Adam and Eve not to eat of the tree of knowledge. Why? This would cause them to not only be less dependent on the lesser “God”, also known as the Demiurge, Ialdabaoth, or Yahweh for all their resources, but they would realize the godhood within. Their connection to everything in existence. Their connection to the Original.
Eating from the tree of knowledge is injurious to one who does not want you to know past what is given. Sounds like a “jealous” god.
The serpent, being a symbol of transformation and intuition, led the two out of the illusion of perfection, which is why snakes are considered evil in some schools of thought.
Perfection is your home but seeking it down here is folly. Poppycock. A trap. By default, this physical realm is imperfect. Full of death, suffering, pain, and stress. However, material pleasures and hedonism give you the illusion of perfection. Just like an addictive drug, these are cosmically designed to keep you misaligned from your true divinity. This is why reincarnation could be considered a trap. Although Earth is pretty, it still revolves around the 12 Disciples, or 12 Disciplines. The Jesus story is all about becoming the number 13, escaping the constant loop of the false creator Demiurge, and returning home, the Pleroma.
Perfection would resemble the Pleroma, the fullness of being. This is spiritually represented through enlightenment, and when one is fully operating from his subconscious mind. Leading his wife spiritually, thereby spiritualizing matter versus materializing spirit.
The entire reason behind existence is for man to be the perfect-ing principle of G.O.D. Playing out its talents, skills, abilities, concepts, and principles in the process of life. Surpassing all illusions perpetuated in ignorance by following the serpent’s path of the intuition.
The same goes for Western society, offering the American Dream as an Eden. Your intuition is the tree of knowledge within, an entire Yggdrasil (the sacred tree in Norse Mythology) that holds the keys to the universe. This is why you must be overworked, underpaid, stressed, and reduced to an animalistic survival state just trying to make it to the next day. Like an animal.
The purpose of man is to rise above his animalistic state and realize his godhood.
Serpent Symbolism
This is why the serpent, although it has no legs and arms, represents higher knowledge through flexibility.
It also represents a path. When you are looking aerially at rivers, streams, and even roads, these are winding paths that resemble snakes. These represent pathways of energy, transportation routes of knowledge.
Think about this the next time you are intuitively guided to do something. Remember these ancient texts were esoterically speaking of man being god incarnate, not depending on anything outside of himself. Which is why every level up in your life involves you viewing yourself in a higher light. Your higher self, your spirit is the true you leading you back home, which is within. Involution.
This is why the ancients said “The kingdom of heaven is within” and “The more you know yourself, the more you know the universe.”
This is why it always seems stupid when your intuition tells you to leave the Garden of Eden in your life. Commonly deemed the comfort zone, but most importantly, what is deemed logical, what makes “sense”, and what most people would call correct or the “right way”.
Ask yourself:
Who and what benefits from me not knowing myself?
