African Cosmology Series Pt. 4: The Theban Creation Myth
This is where you get your "Amen" at the end of your prayers from.

There were four major cities in Ancient Kemet, from which we have been exploring their different creation accounts: Memphis, Heliopolis, Thebes today, and Hermopolis next Tuesday. Subscribe to stay updated with each weekly article!
The Theban creation account is one of extreme importance. We have spoken about the common elements between the myths: the Primordial Waters, a godhead, each successive pair having the initial creative essence within them.
However, the Theban version introduces a new concept to the playing field: the “hidden” nature of the primordial Universe.
Amun, the chief creator deity
Yes, this sounds like the Amen at the end of Christian prayers. Priests perverted these creation myths, only substituting letters here and there to seem “original”. This practice was done throughout the entire Bible. If you ask any Christian, they would say Amen is a sealant to a prayer, a “so let it be” licking of the envelope of the request. However, this is just a way to insert their hands and call thievery innovation.
Amun, a central figure, in not only the Theban mythology but the Hermopolitan as well, represents the hidden force behind everything in existence.
This force is likened to the initial intent we have spoken of with Ptah in our last article.
The infinite chaotic flux of subatomic energy, also known as the Primordial Waters of Nun/Nu, encompasses all there ever was, is, and will ever be.
This is a state of stillness with chaos. Without form or movement, the teleological intent to “know itself” caused these waters to produce and ultimately “create”. Creation being a process that is still taking place through everything in existence, as an ongoing intent versus the priestly 7 day cosmic project.
Amun acted on these waters causing a mound of dry land to emerge. His interaction is often described as the “call of a goose, which breaks the stillness of the primeval waters”.
He is also apart of the Ogdoad and Ennead (the Heliopolitan group of nine gods). This is why he was considered the supreme deity. He is within but also the originator, the causer, the initial mover of the Cauation.
Later on, he is combined with the Sun God Re/Ra which brings forth the deity Amun-Re/Amun-Re combined Amun, “the hidden one”, with Re, the sun god in Heliopolis. This rose him up to be the “King of the Gods”, the supreme deity.
Heat as a necessary force in creation
It is important to note this combination with Re, a deity associated with Heliopolis.
The initial cosmic force, that “big bang” is just like the sexual orgasm during procreation. Humidity in women is the feeling of being “wet”. When a male is aroused, blood rushes to the penis, causing it to erect, while also making it warm. Amun is also known fro his erect penis, symbolizing infinite fertility. Hence, his presence in all of existence.
This heat force also correlated with the Kalûnga, the spark of fire spoken of in the Kongo mythology. That hidden heat force behind all creation and causation. The necessary friction that comes with the planting of the seed in the fertile womb, cosmically and terrestrially.
Creation Accounts of Kemet = Advanced Science
Keep in mind, these systems of thought were not independent of each other. This shows that the so-called freedom of “religion” that Europeans claim to give in their nations often result in persecution, ridicule, and subjugation.
These creation myths built on each other, showing the progression of thought, the intermingling of cosmic concepts and principles, and the collaboration of the peoples, no matter the city or myth.
Also, this clearly shows advanced quantum physics told in story form. Just as movies portray stories in the “motion picture” format to make a book digestible, so did we take cosmic concepts that predate modern technological advancements and make them simple. Amen, being self-conscious, “began” the Causation process. This allowed the ideation and formation of infinite concepts/creations while seeding within each and every one the individuated path of self-knowing.

There is no greatery mystery, made plain through myth, but complicated through religion, than the “creation” of the cosmos
